hi all

my system

MS6119 MB
655 Mem
PII 400
XP Pro

i have installed all this extra memory but the system does not seem to be any quicker (i know not to expect miracles).

i run fs2002 and in there news groups it explains that the more memory that you have the better the fs will be, and to check i use the task manager and look at the commit charge in the bottom left hand corner. but it never goes above 289628, i am expecting at least 400-600 or is this wrong?.

i have no pagefile, is this the reason in that the pagefile is put into ram instead of the HD. can anybody recommed something that i can try (any help from fs2002 users would also be gratefully received), i would love to use all availble memory to its full.

cheers all

chris

HOW TO: Set Performance Options (Q308417)

Computer Speed and Performance May Decrease (Q310419)

Try disabling any unrequired services that are running in background.

Commit Charge . (Task Manager - Help)

Memory allocated to programs and the operating system. Because of memory copied to the paging file, called virtual memory, the value listed under Peak may exceed the maximum physical memory. The value for Total is the same as that depicted in the Page File Usage History graph.

See the rest of the Task Manager help file.
