Hi,
using Windows XP sp3. When ever I open "Remote Desktop Connection" program to connect to other PC remotely there is file Default.rdp created in my C:\Documents and Settings\\My Documents folder. I would like RDP will be saved in some other path. How to change location of RDP file?
Regards

Look on the Remote Desktop Connections for the Options button, down at the bottom of the General Tab there is a Save As button. That should do it for you.

Hi,
this option is only to save current rdp file to new location. When ever I open Remote Destkop new Default.rdp file is still created in my C:\Documents and Settings\\My Documents folder. So there should be some settings to tell that new rdp file should be created in new directory.
Regards

The Default.rdp is only created if you don't save the connection to another location the first time you create it.

What I do is open the RDP, customize it, and then [b[before I connect save it as a different name (I use the server or client name.rdp) to a location of your choice. Then connect to your remote session. The next time I need to connect to that server/client I go to the location that I saved the original .rdp file in and double click on that file.

Hope this helps.
