How to change a form's appearence !? 2

Hi,

I created a form using the wizard, but then I customized it a lot ! Now to make all the forms look the same (have the same style -color and background-), I need to change the appearence of the form. I'd chosen "Sumi Painting" as the style of the form from the wizard, but all the other forms are "Industrial". How do I make this change without having to redo all the coding and stuff on a brand new form !?

In Design View, select the "..." button to the right of the form's Picture property. Navigate to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 2000\Office\Bitmaps\Styles and select the ACINDSTR.GIF file.

The path name may vary depending on what version of Access you're using. If you can't find the file, search for it in Windows Explorer.

This is cool..I didn't know about it, but it's only changing the background ! How could I change the whole style like the wizard does !? Like the Label background color, foreground color, color of the form buttons... !

Sorry about that. Since I don't use the Form Wizard, it didn't occur to me that many other properties might be affected.

I'm afraid that changing the remaining properties will be a bit of work. You're going to have to compare form and control Format tab properties one by one and make the changes. At least I can give you a shortcut though.

You can select multiple controls on a form by clicking the first one and then holding down Shift while you click the others. (If you select the wrong control, deselect it by clicking it again while holding Shift.) When multiple controls are selected, the Properties sheet lists only the properties they have in common. If you change a property, the change applies to all the selected controls.

What you should do is select all the controls of one type (Label, Text Box, etc.), select the Format tab in the Properties sheet, and then compare the properties to those of the same type control on one of the Industrial forms. Make any changes so they're the same, then repeat for each control type.

The only thing left after that would be to compare the Form format properties.

Jeeez ! How I wish I knew this from the begining ! Believe it or not, before I posted this question, the stupid me recreated the form in another style and tried to customize it from scratch ! such a waste of time...Had I known this piece of cake trick, I'd have saved a whole day probably ! well, for next times i guess lol
