Hello,
I have a Windows 2003 Server which I need to boot using a NTFS boot disk. There's a Adaptec 39160 SCSI Card - Ultra 160 to which the Hardrives are connected. I created the boot disk by copying NTLDR, NTDETECT, and Boot.ini to a floppy. I then came across an article from Microsoft that says I need to copy the SCSI Card driver to the boot disk and rename it to Ntbootdd.sys and replace the multi(0) entry with scsi(0) and disk(0) number to represent the SCSI-ID of the hard drive you want to boot to.
I did all that, except I ddnt make the change in the boot.ini, because I copied that file from the server i'm trying to boot into. My question is, do i still need to make that change in boot.ini even tho i copied it from the same server? Also I'm not sure if i have the correct driver for the SCSCI Card, Adaptec ddnt help me mch.. Can anyone also guide me to the correct drive that I shuld have on the boot disk? This is very urgent, so any help will be very much appreciated.
