I have Exchange 5.5 as mail server and outlook express in clients pcs.
I want to stop some users to send external mail, I tried delivery restriction: Reject message from, routing restrictions: specify the hosts and clients that never route mail, But without success.
Can any one help with this issue (it´s drive me crazy).
Thank's.

Did you check there smtp setting in their Outlook?
I may well be they bypass the server. If the answer is here, mark it, others can benefit from it too. If 'something' 'somewhere' gives 'some' error, excpect random guesses or no replies at all. Please specify details.

yes, i already checked, in outlook express SMTP settings are the name of the exchange server (or the IP address of the server).
is it necessary to configure something else??
Thanks

Quick question, Are they allowed to receive internet mail?
If not, take away the SMTP address in their account. If the answer is here, mark it, others can benefit from it too. If 'something' 'somewhere' gives 'some' error, excpect random guesses or no replies at all. Please specify details.

Oops, noticed too late, you are using PO3 or IMAP?
If POP3 , disregard the previous post. If the answer is here, mark it, others can benefit from it too. If 'something' 'somewhere' gives 'some' error, excpect random guesses or no replies at all. Please specify details.
