How to avoid having your personal group name expand?

I assume you're using R4.x? If so, you can go to the design of your mail file, open the form named "Memo". At the top, you should find a hidden field called "ExpandPersonalGroups". The default value now should be "1". Change this to "0" and save the form. Test it out to confirm.
