Hello, I am still a beginner so my question might be fairly simple... (?)
I succeeded registering a new application to NNM that now can be started via the context menu of an item.
But how can I tell OV to automatically start my application each time a trap from a specific device is received?

Thanx for your help, Eddie

Hi there FastEddieG, well, you are almost there man, just go over the Alarm Categories browser and find the trap you need, then select Actions -> Configure Event, there is a field for "Command for Automatic Action" that you may complete.

Anyway, every automatic action is carried out by ovactiond (look for the man pages of it), and this daemon checks on:
/etc/opt/OV/share/conf/trustedCmds.conf/
For trusted commands to run, you may as well create a file there for your command and NNM is going to run it under specific events.

Hope this helps, regards,
