You need to explain a bit more so that we're sure what you're talking about and what you want to achieve - the term bridged and bridging can mean different things.
What Westi is alluding to (I think) is the fact that Bridged Appearance buttons only get on a phone if someone with full configuration access to the system adds them. And their very function is to monitor and if necessary take over another call.
Read the IP Office Manager help and have a look at the Private Call functions and the Can/Cannot Be Intruded controls.
Westi's, "Don't bridge them" comment was not helpful...

Thank you sizbut for your feedback "What Westi is alluding to (I think) is the fact that Bridged Appearance buttons only get on a phone if someone with full configuration access to the system adds them. And their very function is to monitor and if necessary take over another call."
Here's my situation:
Three phones in our front office need to share answering the main phone line - that's why we use bridged extensions. However, once one of them has answered the call, they don't want another individual to inadvertently "barge into" or "take over" the conversation.
I discovered I can accomplish what I need by selecting "Data Restriction - Y" on Page 2 of the phone details page.
You can use use groups instead of bridged appearance and your problem is nil without data restriction (never used it but good to know thanks)
A call to a group with the 3 users in it will get answered by only 1 person and then taken care of (transfered or whatever) while the other phones stop ringing and they are not able to barge into that call any more.
my comment was not meant as being helpful, it was meant funny.
My question to elaborate on the other hand was meant helpful as I could not make sense out of the initial post and so could probably not a whole lot of other people or you would have gotten better replies so I asked to explain what your problem is in detail which you now did and now I offer a helpful solution with the group programming.
Cheers

I understood westi. And its true. If you want a fully secure system don't connect the cables! including the power!!
Yes, you don't need bridging, direct the calls to an answering group.
Then, either set each group member for "Cannot be intruded" but that will affect all their calls from all sources. Otherwise setup a Private Call control (shortcode or preferable button) which allows them control.
Typically I have only used bridged appearance in situations where somebody like a secretary covers the bosses calls so they can take a DID call when needed. Huntgroups are the way to go here.
