I have a spreadsheet with about 300 items. lets say in one column i have the item alias'. I want to add a column at the end that will automatically insert "product_thumbs/" and then alias so it would read "product_thumbs/alias"

Secondly can i set up that column that no matter what i enter it will insert "product_thumbs/" before it?

I have to to this to 3 columns and dont really want to go through and have to put it in one by one.

if alias is in col A

then in the col of you choice...

="Product_thumbs/"&a2

fill down

now is my second part even possible. cuz that trick was great. also what if i want it to say

="Product_thumbs/"&a2.jpg

so i want to add ".jpg" after. I tried but it left a space between a2 and .jpg

a2 .jpg

You must have let a space sneak in somewhere then, because the following should do it.

="Product_thumbs/"&A2&".jpg"
