How do I add another monitor to my G4 and existing monitor so that I am not viewing a mirrored image but a continuation of my workspace? Fill me in with any ideas..... Thanks!

Adding a second monitor depends on what existing video card capabilities you have or what card you will be buying. The G4 line of computers had many configurations. It would help to know where you are starting from.
You may also want to look at upgrading the system instead of adding on to such old equipment.
