Hi,

we have exchange 5.5 in NT4 domain, for some reasons, we plan to keep NT4 domain and exchange 5.5, and create a new AD domain with Exchange 2003.

Is it possible for Outlook client that connected to NT4 domain and Exchange 5.5, have additional connection to Exchange 2003 in seperate AD domain ?

i don't mind if the user need to enter their user name and password in order to access the exchange 2003.

Exchange 2003, will be a primary mail server, Exchange 5.5 will be a secondary server. soon after Exchange 2003 works, we will disable Exchange 5.5

thanks in advance for your help.

There a a couple of ways. One is to access 2003 via IMAP for now. Another is to create a mail enabled user in AD, then disable it. Add the NT4 account to the mailbox permissions, then set it as the external associated account. This requires a trust and name resolution between NT and AD.
