I was wondering how much needs to be setup on DNS before you install AD? I installed DNS. Created the Forward Zone and Reverse ZONE. The Host record for the Server and the Reverse record for the Server. Is there anything else I should setup be install AD and then using Dynamic DNS to setup the rest of the pc's I will be adding to the Network??

Thanks in advance, AV

You actually don't need to do anything, dcpromo will install and configure the dns service for you. doing it your way created a standard primary zone. Letting dcpromo do it automagically created an AD integrated zone.

I usually just get the DNS service installed, then dcpromo.
