Goodday,

I'm using an Alpha system with OSF1 v4.0 for the first time, vmstat =
procs memory pages intr cpu
r w u act free wire fault cow zero react pin pout in sy cs us sy id
3 226 37 226K 6105 23K 328 0 210 0 0 0 13 5K 2K 0 1 98
3 226 37 226K 6104 23K 338 0 328 0 1 0 14 5K 2K 0 1 98
3 225 38 226K 6088 23K 333 44 157 0 60 0 43 5K 3K 0 2 98
3 227 37 226K 6088 23K 556 0 433 0 0 0

a) does the above show a lack of Physical Memory?
b) is there a command to show swap space and Total Memory

I normally use Solaris Unix and would expect prtconf & swap to supply but these commands unavailable on this system.

Many Thanks

no problems with physical memory here.
use swapon -s for swap space.
try sizer -v for physical memory (sorry but form memory !)

swapon is spot-on. But although "sizer" is a cmd, it will inform of number of cpu's, m/c type and O/S, it doesn't give Real Memory.
Thanks for the help anyway dblair, Marrow

Yes that's it dblair. Many Thanks.
