Where can I find a "Names" display administration reference? Haven't been able to find the info in 555-203-566, iss 7, Nov 03, Administrator's Guide for Com Mgr.

Help for the blind?

I haven't found any hard and fast documentation, but I can tell you what I've learned by trial and error.

First, I'm assuming that your character set is Roman (in disp sys country) and that you are using English as your display language. If that's the case......

If you try to use an apostrophe or a hyphen ( ' or - ), these are ignored. A period ( . ) in the name acts as a space, while a comma ( , ) is actually displayed normally. (Spaces, however, are ignored).

You can also display "European" characters in the name (like ñ) if you use the chart found in the Administrator's Guide under the Telephone Displays section.

Hope this helps a little.....

Susan
You have all the characteristics of a popular politician: a horrible voice, bad breeding, and a vulgar manner.
