Our domain controller is Windows 2003 server. Because Windows XP will be going away this summer, I am planning to purchase a Windows Vista business SP1 edition.

Since I never used Vista before and would like to know how Vista works with Windows 2003 server. Is it easy to setup to join the LAN? Will it be a problem to share data, or files with other XP computers?

Any inforamtion about Vista's performance will be greatly appreciated.

there is a learning curve to vista networking but I have had no issues using 2003 server and Vista sp1
Linney when he see's this post will more than likely give you great links.

On the other hand he may not, but here are a few to start you off. There are bound to be teething problems as with anything different and new, so the more testing you do beforehand the better.

Many Thanks to both of you.

I will use those links and try to learn more about Vista networking.
