When I connect to a Windows 2000 server using Terminal Server connection by using the Remote Desktop Connection utility, it's not like connecting using PC Anywhere, is it? In other words, I'm not seeing the actual Desktop of the remote server, but rather I'm seeing some newly generated screen that "represents" the actual Desktop for my session? or something like that? am I even close? Thanks!

Actually you got it right. It is a representation of the desktop as you mentioned. As such, you can have multiple users(depending on licences) who can work at the same time on the server, unlike pcanywhere.

YOu can have a profile here so the next time you log in, your desktop, favourites etc are all there.
