I am using a .dwt template to create pages. I have a area called {body} where all my page content goes. BUT when I try to modify the keywords or the description (and presumably any other header content) on the page produced from the template I cannot. It is in a non-editable section.

How do I mark the header as editable in the template? All of my pages need unique descriptions and preferably unique keywords.

Hi Dave!

Unfortunately, it is impossible to "unlock" keywords or description in DW4 (as well in DW3) templates...

What you may do is:
1) remove keywords and description from template and insert it into each separate page right after TITLE tags (you'll see that this region is editable so you may edit it). Probably, you'll have to do it manually, but try may be you'll be lucky.

2) use DreamWeaver MX. I haven't worked with its templates yet but I know it's more complex and flexible than DW4's templates. So maybe you will or maybe you will not be able to "unlock" it there.

P.S. Personally, I don't recommend to install DW MX now - it's much better than all other versions, however it is a beta version and I've had much troubles with it... Just wait a bit. Good Luck! :-)
