How do you trap Sybase ASE 11.9.2 SP output into a variable?

hello,

i wrote a perl script which calls a stored procedure based on a parameter using sybperl.pl... i would like to capture the output in a variable which Sybase returns... not what perl/unix returns... is this possible?

i can not find any sybperl documentation or sybase open client/server documentation on it...

any help would be greatly appreciated...
