What is the way to look at or get a report showing what auth codes were used and where they called out to? Is there a way OTM can report them.

you can track this authorization codes trought Call Detail Recording (CDR).
You can see the AUTH used, extension and number dialed.

Thanks. But I'm not sure of the codes to use to pull them, also do you know if there a report in OTM?

In ld 88 Change ACDR YES , then you should be able to use OTM to run AUTH reports. You can print a list of the AUTH codes in ld 88. Then enter them in the report under AUTHORIZATION CODES. The report will tell you what extension used the code

TYPE aub
CUST 0
SPWD
CUST 00
ALEN 04
ACDR YES
AUTHCOD_ALRM OFF
RANR X
ACLE NO
BRST 10
RTRY NO
AUTO NO

Glynnmsg . . .

Can you expand upon "using OTM to run AUTH reports"? I am not familiar with OTM, but it sounds like something that can be beneficial. Is that built into the switch (and if it is, what load / function is used to run the reports)? Or is OTM a third-party package? Thanks.

otm is a nortel add on package that installer on a stand alone server. you can do most programing via a gui inteface. it handles cdr reports. i don't use it because of the volumne of changes we make on the 81. it is very usefull for anyone not knowing cls marks or sets in general. you will never learn the switch, but simple changes just got very easy. on some opt 11's i have installedm an in house pc person could make basic changes, adding phones, forward to mail, names etc

You can also access OTM via a WEB interface. We use it here for CDR and changes. The nice part about OTM, when using TCPIP to interface with the switch, is that it is like having the books at your finger tips. You can select help and it will tell you what an error code means, what replys are usable for the prompt you are at, and the chapter of the NTP's for the load you are currently in. There are also numerous test and the ability to disable and enable sets, cards, loops, etc. If you want CDR reports via the WEB interface make sure to get enhanced for cdr licenses. You can also use templates for building sets so as to avoid the cpy command.

I use OTM also to run reports on extension for bill back to departments. Johnpoole is correct I find it easier to to add moves and changes using the TTY.

Okay. I chked AUB and ACDR is/has been set to yes. In OTM under Telcomm Billing there is a rpt for auth codes and it will filter out the phones that have used them BUT, it does not display the actual auth codes used. That's what I need to figure out to track individual usage. Any Idea's? In OTM or, from the TTY? Thanks in advance guys!

What I had to do is assigned the AUTH code to individual employees. I did this using the (employee selector) which is found when you open up the station file thelook under FILE. So on the report will see the name and the calls they made.
