Hi,

I have a form that has a Form Header section, Detail section, and Form Footer section. I can re-size the height of the Form Header and Footer sections, but can't figure out how to re-size the Detail section. To be more clear, I can set the height of the detail section but it will be repeated depending on how many records I have. So, the height is set to about .25 inches which is the height that I want each individual record to have. Is there another property to set the OVERALL height, i.e. before you need to scroll down to see the additional records? Or, a property to set the number of records that can fit in the detail section before you have to scroll down?

Thanks,
Bill

I assume you're talking about continuous forms view. The "overall height" you're talking about is the window height. The inside height (which is the window height minus the frame and title bar space) is allocated first to the form header and footer, and any space left is given over to repeated detail sections.

Normally, the user is in charge of the window height. By changing it (assuming you've given it a 'sizable' border style), he/she can control how many details appear.

But of course, you want to set the initial number of details so that no partial details are involved. Simply open the form, adjust it to that the desired number of details is displayed, switch back to Design View, and save it. Oh--make sure that Auto Resize is set to No, too.

Hope that addresses your question.

No, I am talking about the Height property of the Detail section. What version of Access are you using?

Sorry RickSpr. Ignore the last response. It's too early for me.
