how do you put £ into Oracle?

Hi I have a database and need to put some monetary values into it but Oracle doesn't seem to like the £ sign going into its tables. Is there a way?

It does like, but your character sets should contain this symbol. Both client-side and server-side.

I was going to say, just go for the Enterprise Edition if you want to put extra £'s into Oracle's pockets ;-)
