How do you install a host adapter?

I'm trying to install SCO and I just added a CD-rom drive to do this. During the installation it says to choose media device...so I chose IDE CDrom which it then tells me to install a host adapter. Any help would be well appreaciated. [sig][/sig]

It is an IDE cd rom drive and SCO is a flavor of unix. Im not sure what an ATA card is but I know its not in connected to a SCSI card. [sig][/sig]

First , get out of this forum and into the SCO forum where you can get the help you need.
Normal SCO cdrom installs are off SCSI host adapters with SCSI cdroms although IDE has been supported better on later versions of SCO.
It is a matter of specifying the controller and cdrom location to get it to work, but I am not the one to answer the question as I am totally SCSI oriented for Unix. You're right Karl. He needs to be in SCO where AndyBo can see him. I'd help him here but I haven't used IDE on unix for probably 6 years and I don't recognize anybody from the SCO group hanging out here.
Not a software problem, an install problem. And there are specific directions that DOS and Win users haven't a clue on.
