How do you create a Ram Disk

I don't recall any discussions about RAM disks here (but I may have missed a few posts). Can you point them out, as I am not aware of an easy way of setting one up (apart from buying a commercial product, or writing your own driver - which wouldn't be something to try in VB)

Here's the reference I found while searching: thread222-84636. It doesn't look too promising when knowledgable folks like you don't have any suggestions ;-(.

BTW, thanks for your example the other day using With as an implicit object instantiator. Many times in the past I have declared a module level variable just to be able to set it up for With / End With. Now I know a much better way!

I havent tried this and it includes registry changes, so use with care!!

I think the emergency boot disks include a ram drive in them - make one and have a look at the contents of the disk - dont have one here to look at, I am using Win2K at the office , but from memory, I think it uses ramdrive.sys in the config.sys.
