How do you BACK UP an old 8x24 DR5 ? 1

With help from folks here, I have gotten my FastRad working with Norstar manager 3.7 WOO HOO! but I have a couple questions..

Is it supposed to be VERY SLOW ? I'm connected at 19,200 but it takes about 2-3 minutes after login to populate the screen, and every selection takes a good amount of time... is this normal, or is somehting wrong ?

Also, when I connect it says that the system is not backed up, BUT I don't see any options TO BACK UP the system ???

The closest I saw was under the remote tools, the backup / restore util, but when I try to run THAT it says " system is DR5, cannot use this utility " (or something to that effect)..

Dr5 is not able to back up. your system has to be running 2.0 or better for the NRU to backup

You can back up a DR5 with Norstar Manager 3.5 or 3.7. I've found 3.7 a better tool.

He's using 3.7. System sw is the issue.

When you say system s/w is the issue, what do you mean?

I thought "DR5" was the sys software / level ???

or does that refer to a version of h/w ?

Bottom line... is there really NO WAY to back it up ? ??

Yes, a DR5 system can be backed up and restored using Norstar Manager. I've temporarily uploaded the Norstar Manager user guide and Norstar Manager reference guide. These should tell you what you need to know.
