I'm trying to write a query that will find me all my records containing the word "hospital" in the organization. (also to find ones with the words"cancer center", and then to find all the ones without either of those). How do I do this?

Take a look at the Like operator.

Hope This Helps, PH.

In your criteria section of the query grid in the organization field use asterisks at beginning and end of word.

Like *hospital* or *cancer center*

to find all that do not contain either word put the word NOT in front of Like.

Not Like *hospital* AND Not Like *Cancer Center*
