I am following setup instructions to allow Excell users to connect to informix Data Bases on an AIX box. Most of the work concerns setting up the windows client but<br>on the AIX side of the connection I need to start a sqlhost service se_tcp with a protocol SESOCTCP. After I make the necessary changes to the sqlhosts file and the etc/services file I am supposed to get the message<br>"$informixdir/lib/sqlexecd demose_tcp" started succesfully. <br>What must I do to start up the service and get this message? Must I reboot AIX or is there a series of commands to do it?<br>Thank you in advance.
