My Savage4 Video Card and my internal modem and the ACPI IRQ Holder for PCI IRQ Steering occpy the same IRQ ( IRQ 11). Is this alright? If not, how do I resolve it? How do I assign different IRQs for the different devices? Thanks.

This is a complicated subject and needs a bit of study to adequately answer. Start here:

This is just one of many links i found by going to

click the link and go surfin'. Lots of info there. Also try the manufacture's web sites.

Hi

If any of the devices are having the 'Yellow' mark..., yes.. you need to worry and sort out the clash. Otherwise, it is ok... and you dont have to worry. In the way the IRQs are steared, the addresses are different while the IRQ could be same.

There are no yellow exclamation points in the device manager but I was wondering if occupying the same IRQ could in any way affect the speed of the device. Thanks.

If there are no conflicts (yellow exclamation points) then all is well and no effects (speed or otherwise) will be experienced from "shared/steered" IRQ's.
