How do I reset the root password?

My root password isn't work, what is the best way to recover the root password on freeBSD?

linuxMaestro,

If you have the ability to reboot from the server console, you could always boot into single-user mode. In single user mode, you are root, so a password change would reset the password for root. Then just reboot into multi-user mode.
