I have removed my Media Server as I don't need it anymore. But the Server and Tape Device still appears in the topology in the Activity Monitor and the device also still appears in the Devices pane.

I have removed the server from the "Media Server" in the Master Server host properties. I tried to delete the Standalone Tape Device but it fails.
The Media Server is turned off and not availible anymore.

I need a hint how to remove the entries for the "retired" Media Server.

The first step of removing a media server would be to remove it as a device host by removing the robot and drive definitions first, then remove the storage group. This will completely remove the media server from your configuration.

Just because the VERITAS documentation states a certain thing does not make it a fact and that is truth.
