How do I register a web browser in microsoft publisher? 1

I am creating a website in MS Publisher on a xp professional. When i try to preview the website in the browse (Google Chrome)an error window pops up saying "you do not currently have a browser program registered to show html (htm.) files.
This has been happening for two days now. It was working fine. Can somebody tell me how to register a web browser in micros0ft publisher?

The 'Web Page Preview' option in Microsoft Office Publisher is set to use the default browser that is configured for your OS. Make sure that you have correctly configured Google Chrome to be your default browser.

FWIW, make sure that you're using a version of Publisher that creates pages that are compatible with IE8 (even if you choose to use Chrome for yourself)
