I heard that meta tags used on a web site is a thing of the past. This is the only way I used to get my website to rank on a search engine. What's the new way to prepare your website for search engines? Where do I place the keywords and stuff that will get my website good rankings on the search engines??

Please help

there is no "new" way it's the same as it always has been, it's simply that meta keywords is devalued because of the abuse by the spammers.
