We're using outlook 2000 on a exhange 2000 server. i have full rights to my users mailboxes. How can i open their sent items from outlook? When I go to file-open-other users folder, i can open things like their inbox and calender but there is no sent items option.

Have you tried
-Tools
-Services
-Properties
-Advanced TAB
If you have full rights, you should be able to add this users whole mailbox.

OR

Logon as the user or admin.
Right click on the mailbox and go to properties.
Choose the PERMISSIONS TAB and add yourself as an owner.
You will have to do this on the sent items also.

Regards,

Pinhead.

thanks for the info. I have seen this but i can't do it for all my users. I thought there might be away of adding sent items to the list of things on the other users folder menu!

Thanks,

Mark

Hmmm, you could always export the exising sent items as a .pst and then import it. It wouldn't stay up to date though.

Umm, dunno about the way you want to do it. You might be able to, I will have a chat to some people about it.

Thanks,

Pinhead.

Instead of opening just a single folder, just open their entire mailbox.

Just be sure your company policy states that you can do this so you're backside is covered legally.

Just wanted to through this out there. If you are apart of any of the Administrators or Domain Admins groups, you will be denied access to users mail boxes. This is to help Admins from abusing there power. If you want to be able to access all users mail boxes, you are going to need to create a new user and add that user to the Exchange Domain Servers group. Do not add the user to any admin group or you will not be able to access the mail boxes.

Do be careful though because from what I have read the Exchange Domain Servers group has a lot of rights.
