How do I setup my NT Workstation and Unix RS6000 server so that I can map to it as a shred drive ?

Hi,

You should visit one of the Samba web site ( for example).

It's one of the most popular Open Source project, that allows you to get a Unix server (Aix too) "act as" a Windows server. So you can share parts of your Unix filesystem with Windows clients.

It's easy to get it work with a small configuration for beginning, but you can get much more than sharing drives ... Examples of Samba configuration file are provided, man page is very detailled.

And the last thing you have to do is to connect a drive in Windows explorer as you do with any other server :-)))

Good luck !
