Hi!
I would like to make a copy of my database and rename the copy so that I can let users test the database (the copy)without making any changes to the original db.
My first thoughts were to right click on the database name and do a copy command and then use the rename command, but I wanted to make sure that would be the correct procedure.

Thank you.

Hi kat,

yes if you copied the .mdb file and then rename it it will be fine. just make sure which will be the original and which the test db. It would help to make a copy to another folder for backup just in case...

If you copy a .mdb file and paste it to the same folder, it will rename it automatically as "Copy Of DatebaseName.mdb"

You can then rename it to anything you want. You should probably add a revision number to the copy name so that it's easier to keep straight who is testing what revision.
