Hi, i'm trying to figure something out. What i'm doing is building an alert system of some sort with reminders etc.

I have 2 forms one that defines the conditions for the alerts and the other that reports when the alert/event occurs.

How do I get the second form to run continually (it is continually checking a DB table) without interfering with the other form (inother words this form doesn't have focus but it's still running), except for when I want to alert I just maximize it on the screen?

Was I clear enough?

Hello...
All you need is a timer event. The time event shall check the table for the occurance of the values/events notification. Then The timer event shall display a message box or a wait window, if the event occurs. This will solve your problem.
