I am new to Exchange and have been reading up. In my Exchange books, I see many references to the Exchange Administrator application and how it can be installed on any WinNT machine if running RPC. My question is, where is it located so that I can install it. What is the process? How do I install RPC on an XP Pro workstation?Anything to lookout for? Thanks for your suggestions.

in install the Exchange Administrator simply run the staandard Exchane installation. It will realise the you are not install it on a "server" version of windows and will only install the Administrator. Just make sure that you allso install the same SP for Exchange that is running on your server.

Cubiclex,

I suppose the above explanation works if installing it on a Windows station. However, a general setup (also working on "server" platforms is :

You can start the exchange administrator setup from the standard Exchange Server setup.

Insert the CD, select setup exchange / custom install / and specify to only install the Exchange Administrator.

I hope this helps,

Regards,

Peter
