I have a G3si, in a facility with about 250 end users. At least once a week someone calls 911(legitimate or not). I have set up the following in my switch to track the extension calling 911:

1st: ch ars ana 9....total min/max is 3, rte pattern 2, call type is emer, node number is blank, and ANI required is Y.

2nd(on the operator console): ch sta att 1(or 2), button 12 is set to crss-alrt.

Made several calls to 911 to verify working or not. It is not working. 911 recieves the call fine, shows correct info and ANI info. Do not have to dial "9" to get out for this call, but do have to inorder for all other calls.

Any suggestions?

Actually you should change the 9 in your ars analysis to 911. Call type should be alrt. Do the same for 611 and use that as a test number. This way you dont have to call 911

In the future everything will work...

Actually, I should have mentioned that before, I did change the 911 slot, not the 9 slot

You should add in your ars analysis: 911, 9911, 11 and 611 as alrt. When emeregencies arise, users panic and someimes fumble the numbes. 611 is used just for testing. And yes, you do have to dial 9+911. you can change that in your route pattern for 11 to insert a 9. 11 would have to be on a seperate route pattern from all other numbers. What this does is if someone just dials 9+11 the switch will hit the ars table, see that 11 is on route pattern X, insert the 9, and dial 911.

In the future everything will work...

Okay....Ya lost me. I understand the analysis table additions for EU's who fat finger thier keys, however I do not understand the route pattern. I currently have it set up so that "911" is dialed as a complete string and automatically routes out to a local trunk and on to the emergency operator. the call TO 911 works perfectly fine, the only part I cannot for the life of me get to work is the Crissis Alert feature. I took your suggestion and added 211 (611 was already taken as part of our effort to thwart toll fraud). I currently have it set up so that my desk phone (6408D+) has the crss-alrt button on button "7". I dial 211 and....nothing. Is there anything that has to be done that I am missing? Like I mentioned before, the ars ana table is set to alert for 911, the button is assigned and still nothing. Is there another table I have to change to make the switch light this button up and show which extension is making the 911 call?

For call type you have it set to alrt...not emer

In the future everything will work...

rather than build it's own route pattern, couldn't you just do "chang ars dig 1" and do this?

Match Pat Min Max Del Replacement String Net Conv
11 2 2 2 911 ars n

Many ways to skin a cat.

It actually works like this:

Ch ars ana 11, max/min 3/3, rte pattern 3, alrt, node=none, ANI=n

Rte Pattern 3=add digit 9, local trunk selection.

Ch att 1&2 (Attendent Consoles), feature button 12=crss-alrt.

Works PERFECTLY!!!!

Thanks guys for all of your help!!!
