Anyone have any joy using standard Windows backup as comes with Windows Server 2000, to schedule backups? I find it very hit and miss. More often than not schedules do not run or revert to an older deleted setup which is even more annoying.
Anyone know how to get it to work properly?

I recommend using a script and scheduled tasks to execute the backups. The Windows Backup Scheduling really only creates a scheduled task with a command line command - that's how the scheduling works. So if you create your own command and schedule it, it tends to work just fine (in my experience).

You can try my backup script, available here:
