I have a table with thousands of records with mailing info. Half the records are dependents with the same mailing info. How can I get rid of the extra household member records? I would like to keep only one record per household. It does not matter which one.

Thanks

select distinct column1, column2, column3
into newtable
from oldtable

will create a second table without duplicates in the columns selected
