hey yall, i have looked through the FAQs, but can not find one that helps me... what i am trying to do is set up a cell that will take the date entered in a separate cell, subtract it from today's date, and then show the # of years worked.

example:
cell B1 will hold date of hire information: 11/17/97
i want cell D1 to take the information entered into B1 and subtract it from today's date and then show that the person has worked in that department 6+ years. does that make sense? it seems simple enough, but i dont know the formulas needed.

any help would be greatly appreciated... thanks
