I am trying to perform a variance report on customer accounts. I have the proper formula for the report when there is information in both the previous section and the new section.

EG)=<Billed Duration Minutes>-Previous(<Billed Duration Minutes>)

However, if the customer had volume in Feb 2006 of 1000 but NONE in Feb 2007 the equation will not show the difference (lost business) or -1000. I have tried to format the cells so that undefined cell is shown as a 0 but that does not engage the formula to work. Can someone help me with the formula to factor in the zero volume (undefined) cells?

Combine the If Then Else construct with the Isnull function.
Setting undefined to zero setting is only a formatting option. You need to do a check and translate nulls to zero's
