How do I disable Clustering?

When I set up the server, I didn't do anything, that I know of, that would make WS2003 to turn into a cluster. But after running through the "Manage Your Server" wizard a couple times to enable IIS and RDC, it suddenly put itself into some sort of cluster mode that I have no idea how to get out of.

Does anyone know how to disable clustering? I've tried the cluster administrator, but I have no clue the name of the cluster or node in order to remove the server from this phantom cluster.

On your network connections, highlight your current network connection, properties, and uncheck "Network Load Balancing". This should end your "clustering server" nightmare.

That's the problem. I checked to make sure "Network Load Balancing" was unchecked on all three nics, and it wasn't checked on any of them. After making sure they were unchecked, I removed the service all together for extra precaution, but that didn't help either.

what makes you think it is part of a cluster. What are the symptoms and messages. W2003 installs the clustering icons and stuff by default but they are not enabled.

When I log in as the Admin, I get this message:

"Configure Your Server Wizard:

Because this server is a member of a server cluster (also called a cluster node), you cannot configure it with the Configure Your Server Wizard. For information about managing server clusters, see Help and Support."

So I basically can't use the handy server config wizard because it thinks it's in a cluster.

I think this is a totally unrelated incident, and nothing to do with Dual-processor/Hyper-threading. If the above suggestion aren't really what you are looking for (I don't blame you, the registry is a DEEP place with it being very easy to hose up your system), maybe the gurus over in forum737 have an idea of how you can fix it....
