How do I design a query using drop down boxes ???

I need to design a form which uses drop down boxes to select a specific number of records, I know I have to use a qury to do this but how do i insert drop down boxes into queries.

The database is to be used by people with even less technical ability than me so i need to use drop down boxes rather than text fields whenever possible.

Any ideas gratefully received.
