How do I create letterbox in Premiere 6

I filmed using the Sony DSR-pd150's 16:9 ratio. After impoting into Premiere 6 using the 16:9 Widescreen format it appears anamorphic on the monitor. How can I create letterbox for television viewing. Thank you, any help would be appreciated.
