Hi can anyone help?
I am currently using crystal reports label wizard to create address labels for customers; address labels contain unique Id, forename, surname address lines 1-4 and I have created the address lines in separate detail sections in order to
Suppress if address line is blank , the problem is I need to repeat the same record of data for the whole sheet of labels ie. a4, 3 x 24 - can anyone help?
Cheers

Try creating a spreadsheet with one column numbered 1-8
8 because you need 8 repeats as there are 3 labels per row.
If there was one label per row your numbers would have to go up to 24.

Add s/sheet as a datasource, but don't link the tables
You may get a warning, ignore it.
Add the number field from the new table to the label
- each detail section should show 8 times now.

Suppress the number field from displaying or make font white.

If you cannot progress without linking the tables, add a column to the numbered spreadsheet that is something that is in every record of the main table like "GB" "Active" etc.

This non linked table method can be used to unpivot or split data so fields on one row can be split into a row per field variant

What type of database is this?

I achieved this by performing a not equal to join with 2 date fields. This of course resulted in hundreds of labels, when I only wanted X (X being the qty ordered). So I suppressed the detail fields where the recordnumber was greater than the qty ordered.. Viola! I got my labels.

I've done this by not using the label wizard. If it's for a single customer do it all in report footers, if it's for multiple customers do it all in group footers. Just create one label, then replicate it as many times as needed.
