How do I change the orientation on a field 1

Instead of a field displaing horizontally to vertically, thus rotating 90 degrees?

If you have version 8 or higher, right click on your field, choose format field, and on the Common tab there is a Text Rotation option (0, 90, and 270).

It doesn't "stack" the letters like this though

To do a stacking. Resize your field to one character wide and change your font to a monospace type. You'll also need to set the field to "Can Grow.
