How do i change the default install directory?

Its a registry tweak - you can do it with tweakui ( - My Computer tab, special folders bit.
Generally, when you install software you have the option of doing a custom install. One of the things you can do is change where you want to load the software. I almost never install software to my C: drive. I reserve the C: drive for the OS ONLY. I even have a partition for the swap drive to use.
