how do I catch a 'F5' button press?

Hi,

I want to display an alert window when a user hits the F5 key on his keyboard. How do I achieve this?

Yes ok I've got that now, but I don't want the browser to refresh the page when I hit F5. Just display an alert window, then stop, no refresh. Is that possible?
