How Create Domain

I installed windows 2000 server cause I needed tockech out an application.
We do not use win2000server so we created a virtual PC (installed win2000srv like next netx next without touching default values) to test this soft instalation and the to remove it but we found that the app is asking to run setup from a Domain Admin or Admin Domain. We logged as administrator but we dont have any domain created. How do you create a domain in win2000 server?

i dont think this will solve your software problem, if you are admin of a standalone server you should have full rights.

the simple command to create a domain is DCPROMO
but google around to see how to correctly do what the assistant will guide you through because there are things you need to be aware of (domain name, DNS . . .)

what is this application? Is it asking for the domain admin because it needs to run in a domain?
