How can you stop the opening of a hyperlink?

hello all,

Stumped here, i have hyperlinks to say the cd rom....

I want to check to make sure the correct CD is there before hand. I can use the FSO.FileExists(path) to check and and send appropriate message (if anyone knows a better way I am all ears..Does FSO require an install? ) but I cant get it to stop the operationg of the opening of the hyperlink. Or is there somewhere else I can put the checking code, right now it is in the OnClick propery of the hyperlink..

Any suggestions will be appreciated.
